Eco-Touristic Park and Resort El Ocote, was founded in 1993 as a small family business in the community of El Ocote, Villanueva Cortes. Honduras (Central America)

The main objective was to preserve the forest and generate income for the family business. Over the years the park has grown, all while protecting the forest and natural environment, offering visitors new attractions such as: soccer and football fields, horse riding, swimming pools, cottages, bird watching stations, zip line all this in a safe family environment.

Diverse Flock of Birds Found in El Ocote

In just a three-day journey, members of the Honduran Asociation of Ornithology found an abundance of 80 bird species that inhabit the 155 acres at El Ocote Eco-Touristic Park and Resort. According to expert ornithologists it's possible for more bird species to be discovered due to attraction to this natural spring aquarium. Read full article.
